According to First American CoreLogic’s Home Pricd Index, 33 states saw home pricexs decline at a faster ratein March. However in the majod Texas cities, including the Austin-Round Rock metro area, pricezs increased. In the local area prices rose 2.2 percentr in March compared withMarchn 2008. That’s down slightly from the region’s February home pricew increaseof 3.2 percent compareed to the previous February. Housint price declines are slowing in states that have seen the highest declinez in the past three but prices are dropping fastef in states that have seen only moderats decreases in thattime period, the researchg found. Nationally, housing prices fell 11.
